The new £300 million Power Station addition at Ferrybridge near Knottingley West Yorkshire will will be capable of generating around 68MW of low carbon electricity using a range of fuel sources. The plant will take fuels from across Wakefield , Leeds , Sheffield and the wider Yorkshire regions. Fuel is burned under controlled conditions to raise high temperature steam which is then used to generate electricity.
